A picture is worth 1,000 words! Taking retinal photos of your eyes each year is the most thorough and accurate way for us to monitor changes to your eye health over time. These photos also come in handy for military patients who frequently move as they allow for continuity of care between Family EyeCare and future providers.

Optomap retinal photography allows us to see and document more of the retina, which helps us to catch retinal pathology sooner.  This photo can also follow you throughout your life so you are able to have continuity of care if you move out of the area.

We highly recommend that all of our patients have a digital retinal photo taken of their eyes.
